M3nsa and Wanlov the Kubolor
Two popular Ghanaian musicians, Wanlov the Kubolor and M3nsa, who ply their trade under the name, Fokn Bois, yesterday shocked the entire country with a complete naked picture of themselves circulating in the public domain.
The naked picture started making the rounds on various social media platforms yesterday and eventually entered mainstream media.
The explicit photograph of the two men showing their dangling penises, available to DAILY GUIDE, was believed to have been taken for their upcoming music project.
It was allegedly shared on social network, twitter, yesterday by unknown individuals on that platform, and the musicians themselves ?re-tweeted? it to their large fan base.
There were arguments as to whether the picture was photo-shopped or not, but the fact is that it is a clear photograph showing the two musicians.
Many were of the opinion that they indeed took the naked photos themselves; because that was not the first time a member of the group had displayed his manhood in public.
A few months ago, Wanlov the Kubolor raised eyebrows when he displayed his hairy manhood on Deloris Frimpong Manso?s Delay Show on TV3.
But this time, his partner and closest pal, M3nsa, decided to join him in the act.
The two artistes are noted for controversial and unconventional publicity stunts that have been sometimes described as downright outrageous.
Less than a month ago, both men were seen shopping somewhere in Europe in boxer shorts.
Critics have described this as taking their ?madness? to another level.
Since the release of the photo yesterday, they have received several condemnations.
Kubolor is widely viewed as the leader of the duo, Fokn Bois, and most of their stunts are said to be masterminded by him.
It is unclear what his orientation is, but the skirt-wearing Kubolor goes about town half naked with his partner tagging along with an equally unconventional taste of fashion.
Wanlov the Kubolor was born in Romania to a Ghanaian father who is now a minister of God and a Romanian mother, and grew up in Ghana.
He was raised in a home where both parents were avid collectors of music and other forms of eclectic art. Despite his appearance, he is widely hailed as a talented musician, having released several music works.
Kubolor is the flag-bearer of the Ghanaian-based production house Pidgen Music, a label headed by Panji Anoff, a guru producer who played a major role in the birth of Hiplife through Reggie Rockstone and the Hiplife group, Talking Drums.
Wanlov?s widely acclaimed versatility is heard on his debut album ?Green Card?, released in 2007 on his return to Ghana after a seven-year stay in the USA.
Being nominated at the 2008 Ghana Music Awards for Discovery of the Year, Record of the Year, Video of the Year and Hip Hop Song of the Year shows that Kubolor?s contribution has made a strong impression on his audience.
