One can sense from another’s face to identify his/her condition before assistance come in. It is an undeniable fact, that Korle-gonno, a small town in the capital is confronted with a host of difficulties, of which relevant solutions are highlited below.
Foremost, the area is befallen by poor road conditions. The roads have been in deplorable state for long that, most have become unmmotorable. Especially in raining seasons, where the roads become flooded.?Tuesday?market, one of the busiest markets also located in Korle-gonno, is no exception. The small-sized road would permit traders give way for vehicles to move freely. Hence, causing traffic.
Another blow to the people of Korle-gonno, is inadequate supply of water. The water conditions has become so intense that, remnants must walk, long journeys to get water for domestic use before leaving for work or school.
Nevertheless, the problems of unemployment is also paramount. Most young men and women roaming in this area are jobless. Whereas, others have resulted to petty stealing, others too are into internet fraud.
Moreover, the Korle-gonno R/c Boys Basic School, located near the Lavender Hill. It’s quite disgusting when the toilet companies come to dispose waste. The odour disrupt lesson hours.
In a brief suggestion, the government or agency involved, should embark on a massive road construction project in the area. Also provide the area with pipe-borne water as well as an alternative waste depositing means.
