Ruth Quaye, Anyaa-Sowutuom

Mrs. Ruth Quaye is a mother of two (2) children. She is a medical scientist at Berk Berk College, and currently runs her own business which employs about twelve (12) people.

She is the Progressive People?s Party (PPP) parliamentary candidate for Anyaa-Sowutuom in the Greater Accra Region.

She is of the firm conviction that Anyaa-Sowutuom constituency has not had an MP who has actually been fair to the people, especially supporting the constituents with jobs.

According to her, one challenge that confronts the people of Anyaa-Sowutuom is the lack of jobs in the area which has created many of unemployed youth.

She goes on to add that the problem of unemployment has led many of the youth in her community to sell dog chains and other petty items on the streets with its attendant risks.

It is against this backdrop that Mrs. Quaye is seeking the mandate of the people in Anyaa-Sowutuom on the ticket of the PPP to become their Member of Parliament (MP) and implement her human-centered development programmes

Alhassan A. Kamagtey, East Ayawaso

Alhassan A. Kamagtey is the Progressive People?s Party (PPP) parliamentary candidate of East Ayawaso.

He holds an MPhil in Quranic Science from the University of Tehran, Iran. He also has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Religious Studies which he obtained from the Islamic University and a Diploma in Religious Studies from the University of Ghana.

Currently, a lecturer at the Islamic University College, Mr. Kamagtey believes that East Ayawaso needs a legislator who has a demonstrable character and experience to improve their socio-economic conditions.

And that kind of person the young and energetic lecturer believes is him.

When given the mandate, the aspirant is promising to work hard to bring about transformation in the area of education, job creation and crime fighting.

Jessica Adjoa Manuel Simpson, Weija-Gbawe

Vying on the ticket of the Progressive Peoples Party (PPP) in the Weija-Gbawe constituency is Ms. Jessica Adjoa Manuel Simpson.

Popularly known by her fans as ?Adjoa Ghana,? Ms. Manuel Simpson holds an HND certificate in Catering from the Takoradi Polytechnic. She runs her own cosmetic manufacturing company (Adjoa Ghana and Jessica Black Unisex Cosmetics) and her products are marketed in all the ten regions of the country, and in some of our neighbouring countries.

In the estimation of Ms. Simpson, the time has come for the good people of this country to believe in Ghanaian products which impact will help boost the economy.

She goes on to give the assurance that when elected as the Member of Parliament (MP) of Weija-Gbawe, together with her flag bearer, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, the local industry would be made vibrant and robust to contribute to the growth and development of this nation.

?When I am elected as the MP of Weija-Gbawe constituency I will help train the youth to become manufacturers so that they can work on their own and also impact positively the lives of other people in our communities,? Ms. Simpson added.

She also says that she will ensure that more clinics are built in the constituency.

This, she explains, is necessary because the only government hospital is a daily basis is over patronised by residents in the constituency.

In the area of education, Ms. Simpson says she would ensure that more government schools are established in the constituency to help reduce the stress on the few ones and also impress upon parents to send their wards to school.
