The intro to?“Rock Bottom”; ‘This one here’s for all the broke muthaf*ckers’, pretty much says?it all I think. When asked about his motivation for the song,?Joyner Lucas?offered this, “This song is for everybody who ain’t never had nothing. All the broke, struggling everyday people who live on the edge.
I’m not afraid to take a bouncy ass beat and talk about my struggles and keep it real and true to myself. In this song I say, “and you will never feel how real my pain is, this is real rock bottom for the tears I tasted cause I never had S#!T”…. everybody who grew up in the projects or grew up without the fortune of having it good and struggle day to day will relate to this song… I talk about NOT having it all but WANTING it all and working hard towards GETTING it all…. THIS is rock bottom!!
