The Minister for Water Resources Works and Housing, Hon. Collins Dauda has said that his office has received a letter on the Supreme Court ruling on the contentious Number 2 Mango Street bungalow and will therefore hand it over to New Patriotic Party (NPP) chairman, Mr. Jake Obetsebi Lamptey.
?I got a letter last week to the effect that the Supreme Court has ordered that we release the house to Jake,? he said.
This comes after the Supreme Court ruling that indicated that Mr. Obetsebi Lamptey had legally acquired the state bungalow in 2008 and further ordered that the keys to the bungalow be handed over to the NPP chairman.
Deputy Minister of Education, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa and Communications Minister, Omane Boamah had asked the court to annul Mr. Obetsebi Lamptey?s purchase of the government bungalow he occupied while serving as a minister of Tourism.
Hon. Collins Dauda also indicated that, government will be making available an alternative residence for Deputy Trade Minister and Member of Parliament for Odododiodoo, Hon. Nii Lantey Vanderpuije who is currently occupying the building.
?We will take the necessary steps to get Nii Lantey out of the place and hand over the house to him [Jake Obetsebi Lamptey],? he added. OMG!Ghana-
