A beautiful display of pure sportsmanship and merry making characterized this year?s Insurance Companies Games held at the Achimota School a few days ago.
About 20 companies competed in the fun-filled sporting activity which saw them battling for supremacy in disciplines like tug-of-war, soccer, volleyball and egg on spoon among others.
It was Vanguard Assurance Company that finished tops in the soccer competition, while Donewell picked the first runners-up prize.
Regency Insurance grabbed the ultimate prize in the volleyball event, while Ghana Re-Insurance were adjudged the best in the tug-of-war category.
The Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Insurance Company Atsu Amenyawovor described the competition as a huge success, saying, ?We have achieved our purpose of fraternizing, having worked all year long. It?s been good and very healthy, I must admit.?
Companies like Met, Metropolitan, NEM, Millennium, Ghana Life, Millennium, Glico Group, Vanguard, Colina, Unique Life, Unique Insurance, Provident, Ghana Re-Insurance, Vanguard Life, Donewell and Regency Insurance Companies participated in the competition that started in the morning and ended late afternoon.
A special health screening exercise by professionals from the health sector was conducted for participants.
Meanwhile, the tournament involving the media and insurance, originally scheduled for this month, has been postponed to March next year.
