INEC and Security Agents Gets Thumbs Up

wpid-Osun-State-Governor-Rauf-Aregbesola-274x300.jpgThe Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN) has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Police and the various security operatives like the Army and the Department of State Security(DSS) for the dedication, seriousness and commitment they have shown in preparing for duty in Osun state ahead of the governorship election in the state on Saturday 9th August 2014.

TAN in a statement issued yesterday in Abuja said it has watched with keen interest all preparations by various stakeholders ahead of the election and observed that INEC, the Police, SSS and Army have all ensured adequate preparation for the poll hoping that the Osun guber poll will be a success.
The statement called for cooperation among various security agencies and other stakeholders including the political parties and the electorates to ensure it?s free, fair and credible in conformity with electoral reforms being championed at moment by President Jonathan under the all-embracing transformation agenda programme.

The NGO which is the fastest growing in Nigeria among its contemporaries at the moment emphasized on the need for Nigerians to continue to build a stronger that will stand the test of time and repeatedly called on the stakeholders to embrace the culture of sacrifice and render diligent service on assignments with unbiased approach to duties

According to TAN, “the Osun election is very important at this time because it is going to provide us the opportunity to assess how far we have gone in building our nascent democracy and of course how far we are getting ready for the big on in 2015, TAN therefore is all those assigned on duty for the election to live up to expectations by ensuring that the election is free, fair and credible”.

The group also called on residents and visitors in Osun particularly the youths to give peace a chance by shunning any act of violent capable to break law and order to the detriment of the election noting that violent won’t benefit anybody including those who perpetrate it.
