Checking our breast is one important task we should endeavour to undertake. I became very passionate about the issue of breast cancer when I witnessed a young lady, very talented and full of life; lose her life to breast cancer. It appears cancer is mentioned over and over again, but it becomes real to you when you?re closer to someone who is struck by this ?demon?.
Breast Cancer is a ?sniper?, it just picks randomly-both men and women (oh yes! guys as well). Checking our breasts regularly and reporting any suspicious lumps could help save our lives.
The dangerous thing about breast cancer is how quickly the microscopic cells spread through the bloodstream to other parts of the body. The longer it takes for breast cancer to be diagnosed, the more chance there is of this happening and when there are too many cells, it becomes incurable.
There is no better time to pay your lovely lady/guy lumps some attention. Chances are it is a cyst, but I will be more than happy to be told I?m hypochondriac than being told I?ve got breast cancer, won?t you?
From my experience as I mentioned before, thank your stars if you?ve not seen how cancer eats into the body. Let us educate our mothers, sisters, brothers and friends.
What To Look Out For When You Check Your Breast
A lump or thickening of the breast tissue A change in size or shape of both or one breast Discharge in either of your nipples (which may be streaked with blood) Dimpling on the skin of your breasts A rash on or around the nipples A change in the appearance of your nipples, such as becoming sunken into your breast Pain in either of your breasts or armpits that is not related to your period (ladies).
Whilst we are checking our breast, let?s also check our lifestyles and day-to-day activities. According to scientists, obesity, alcohol, smoking and lack of exercise, eating too much red meat and processed meat and not enough fruit and vegetables, are contributory factors. They claim it can be genetic too(that is, it runs in the family).
It is a learning process so you can add the bit or lot you know and LET US ALL STAND UP AND FIGHT AGAINST THIS CANKER!
