Mr Sebastian Acheampong, Volta Regional Manager of the National Road Safety Commission (NRSC), has condemned the relatively high spate of road crashes on the Ho-Fume road.
Mr Anthony Lansana, Project Manager of Rolider Limited, Contractors working on the road, said there had been seven crashes in the past 11 months with one fatality.
Mr Lansana said almost all the safety measures and ?signalization? made were destroyed by drivers.
Mr Acheampong attributed the situation to impatience and said unconfirmed reports indicated that almost every month a kind of a crash occurred on the road.
He said the recorded accidents were creating fear among travelers and urged the police to help restore ?sanity? on that road.
Mr Acheampong appealed to the Police to be visible on the road to check speed and drink-driving during the Christmas festivity.
