Organizers of the median edition of the Pentecost International Trade Exhibition expect to host over 600 businesses in the country and beyond who would showcase the latest products, services and technologies.

Themed ?Accelerating the growth of entrepreneurship and industry for sustainable development,? the fair dubbed, Pentecost International Trade Exhibition 2012 (PENTEX 2012), is slated from August 31 to September 9, 2012.

It would be recalled the Men?s Ministry of the Church of Pentecost, organizers of the fair, in collaboration with Ghana Pentecostal Charismatic Council, launched PENTEX 2012 on September 27, 2011 at the Ghana International Trade Fair Centre.

It is expected to attract participants in the financial, insurance, construction and operators of Small and Medium-scale Enterprises (SMEs), among others.

PENTEX 2012 is aimed at contributing to the economic development of the country as well as displaying products and services of entrepreneurs in the church.

Apostle Nene Ahulu Ofoe Amegatcher, Director of the Men?s Ministry of the Church of Pentecost, told journalists in Accra that the fair is to reinforce the church?s belief in assisting entrepreneurs ?who through their resourcefulness would create realistic avenues for supporting homes, the church and the nation.?

The church anticipates that the exhibition would serve as a platform, where new products and services would be showcased.

?It is envisaged that new and dynamic entrepreneurial networking will commence while young and budding entrepreneurs will be offered the opportunity to connect with experienced mentors to create an entrepreneurial awakening,? said Apostle Amegatcher

The church, he said, has a vision to lead souls to Jesus Christ, adding, ?The word of God encourages us as Christian leaders to admonish all people to earn a living and also contribute positively to the economic well-being of the nation.?

Apostle Amegatcher stated that a series of seminars would be held alongside the exhibition during which participants would be taken through investment guidelines and modalities for raising funds.

?During PENTEX 2012, experts would make presentations on various business and financial topics as well as highlight some areas in the emerging oil and gas industry. PENTEX 2012 would be used for social services.

Dr Yoa Yeboah, Director of Pentecost Social Services (PENSUS), noted that the church has over the years demonstrated love of God through the provision of social services since it is a non-profit-making institution.

PENSUS has undertaken development projects in the areas of education, health, poverty reduction and relief services.
