Daily Times has just been told of a loud explosion that occurred around unguwa Uku area of Kano city. The sound of the explosion is said to be so high that a bomb attack is being suspected.
Residents of Kano, one of Nigeria?s major commercial cities have been living in fear for some weeks now following series of terror attacks that have claimed dozens of lives.
In one of the recent attacks which occurred at a bus terminal, over 25 people, mainly traders from the South East were sent to their early graves, a development that raised tension of imminent ethnic strife in the nation.
The Emir of Kano, Ado Bayero was equally attacked not long ago with three of his personal guards killed by the assailants. The Emir and his son sustained minor injuries and were flown abroad for medical treatment. They are however back in the country.
