Dr. Anthony Akoto Osei, Samuel Atta Akyea and Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh were seeking to stop the GNPC from securing a 700 Million Dollar loan without parliamentary approval.

They claim the GNPC?s action is in breach of the constitution.

They argued that the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation has no powers to unilaterally secure the $700 million loan from commodities trader and logistics Trafigura.

But the court dismissed the case, Wednesday .

The plaintiffs have, however, hinted their desire to appeal the case.
