SDLP Upper Falls Councillor Tim Attwood
( November 29, 2012, UK, Refugee News Network )-SDLP Upper Falls Councillor Tim Attwood has hit out at those behind a security alert at the entrance to the Glencolin estate, which has led to the evacuation of a number of homes.
Cllr Attwood said: ?On Monday night, we had a pipe bomb thrown at police in Culmore Gardens, causing acute disruption to the lives of those in the vicinity.
?Now, today, we have yet another incident which has caused the evacuation of innocent people from their homes.
?Those behind these alerts are not furthering any cause nor attaining any achievement whatsoever, unless their plan is to bring distress and disruption into the lives of ordinary people.
?I urge anyone with any information to bring it as a matter of priority to the police or to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.?
