Ghanaian luxury fragrance house Maison Yusif has concluded its Columbus, Ohio launch of The Beast on [insert date], drawing fragrance collectors and luxury buyers from across the United States.
The event marked the brand’s second outing in Columbus and the latest stop on its The Beast World Tour, which opened with a global debut in Alexandria, Virginia, before moving to New Jersey, where the house opened its first store in that state.
Founded in Accra and led by master perfumer Yusif Jnr Meizongo, Maison Yusif builds artisan fragrances rooted in West African craftsmanship. The Beast, an oudy and spicy composition released for summer 2026, has become one of its most anticipated scents. Meizongo has described it as “a reflection of power, loyalty, and the unseen forces that shape greatness.”
The brand said the Columbus launch attracted collectors, industry professionals, entrepreneurs and luxury buyers from several states and cultural backgrounds. Guests praised the fragrance for its bold character and craftsmanship, with many describing it as a memorable scent experience, according to the company.
Maison Yusif also says it believes it is the first African fragrance house to stage a major launch in Columbus, a claim it has not independently substantiated.
The company said the tour will continue to Ghana, France, Texas and California, carrying African niche perfumery to wider international audiences. The Columbus stop adds to a busy expansion year that has already included new retail locations in New York and New Jersey as the house grows its United States footprint.
For Maison Yusif, the organizers said, the Columbus reception reflects rising global interest in African made luxury and the brand’s ambition to take Ghanaian perfumery onto the world stage.
