Al-Qaeda has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
The deadly attacks begun on Friday and was targeted at the Splendid and Yibi Hotels as well as the Cappucino Café popular spots for foreigners.A statement signed by the Foreign Affairs Minister Hannah Tetteh, extended Ghana’s condolences to President Roch Marc Christian Kabore, the relatives of the deceased victims, and the Government and people of Burkina Faso.
The statement said, the government of Ghana is ready to enhance cooperation with Burkina Faso and work together to see an end to the terrorist threat whilst it expressed commitment to work with the countries within the ECOWAS region to ensure citizens live in peace and security.
“We stand with our sister country of Burkina Faso in this difficult time and are ready to enhance our cooperation and work together to see an end to this terrorist threat. We commit ourselves to work with the countries within our ECOWAS region to ensure that our citizens can live in peace and security.”
