A brilliant Mubarak Wakaso’s first-half free-kick goal and Jordan Ayew’s second-half goal were enough for Ghana to advance.

November’s encounter was the first ever meeting between the two sides at any level.

The 14 overall winners Tuesday will join the Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, Guinea, Morocco, Uganda and Zambia in the group stage, which kicks off next October. Enditem
