The Managing Director and the Head of Training for Compu-Net Services??Mr. Edward Nkrumah and Mr. Michael Ntorinkansah respectively have jointly?underscored the current state of I.C.T training in Ghana??to have fallen drastically despite the numerous interventional policies??by government to advance the educational system.

Government?s??commitment and encouragement of the learning of I.C.T according to them is not enough to help bring back strongly our falling education?to the effect that majority of both public and private institutions are deprived of an up to standard computer laboratories making it difficult for them to??cope with new developments in the field.

Imposition of heavy duties on imported computers and other I.C.T gadgets by government he indicated has cause an abnormal rise in their prices making it difficult for school authorities?and?parents to make?purchase???adding that?until government scrap off import duties on them, her goal in ensuring that I.C.T training at the primary stage of the nation?s education is improved will never become a living reality.

The free distribution of laptop computers to students, an initiative of government? has not witnessed a fair and balanced approach since majority of students who are in high need are not having???them.

The focus of government in the just mentioned initiative is only shifted on the public sector with no regard whatsoever for the private.? Our passionate appeal to government is that any time he decides to give out things for free to students; private schools should not be left out. This kind of discriminatory practice if stopped will help bridge the gap between the two sectors? he mentioned in an interview with the Moment.

Announcing at the 14th graduation ceremony?of the institution in Kumasi dubbed “Redefining Education through I.C.T”, the Managing Director Mr. Edward Nkrumah in a similar statement brought to book that Ghana is currently in an unhappy state rooted on the fact that the leaders have failed to empower the youth?through I.C.T despite our?many rich natural resources.

The influx of foreign I.C.T experts handling most of the major technological projects Mr. Edward Nkrumah indicated, is seriously draining the nation?s economy?since most?of these foreigners after earning their monies, re-invest them in their own countries.

Ghana he mentioned stands the chance of taking?control over?the mining sector, Aviation and Marine?including all the major contracts that are given to foreigners to undertake if the needed training is given to the Ghanaian youth in the field of I.C.T.

Improving the effective use of communication medium an improving the current end to end data receiving modules such as high speed fiber optical and marine cables as started by some communication companies he stressed will enhance effective inter-regional and inter-boundary communications.
