Ghana’s top flight football champions will drive away new cars next season under a one year partnership between the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and carmaker JAC Motors.

The deal, unveiled at the GFA headquarters in Accra on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, provides three vehicles during the 2026/27 season. The 2026/27 Ghana Premier League (GPL) champions, the Women’s Premier League (WPL) champions and the best Black Stars player will each receive a vehicle.

The best players and coaches of the season in both leagues, along with every Most Valuable Player in Black Stars matches, will receive cash rewards rather than cars.

JAC Motors will deliver the package through its Ghanaian distributor, Tryton Motors Ltd, with models including the JAC JS2, JAC JS4 and JAC JS6. The one-year agreement has been reported to be worth about US$270,000.

GFA Vice President Mark Addo described the deal as a “significant boost for Ghana football” and part of the association’s drive to draw corporate backing into the domestic game. He said it also grants Tryton Motors and JAC Motors exclusive rights in the automotive category across GFA-organised competitions, with branded promotions in return for venue access and player appearances.

Tryton Motors chief executive Jihad Hijazi said the partnership goes beyond sponsorship and reflects a longer commitment to football development and to ties between sport, business and local communities.

The agreement comes as the Black Stars prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada, while domestic clubs seek stronger commercial footing.
