A Walk to Remember in The Netherlands.

Members of the diplomatic corps accredited to The Netherlands, friends of Rwanda and officials from the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs have all joined to mark?Netherlands mark Genocide.

The Rwandan Ambassador to The Netherlands, Jean Pierre Karabaranga, took the mourners through the country?s history, saying that the Genocide was a culmination of a long campaign to persecute the Tutsi, a campaign that started in 1959, with the killing of over 15,000 people.

He said, ?On this day of remembrance, we commend RPF-Inkotanyi for their sacrifice and bravely during the horrible period. They are our heroes and will always be revered,?

The?event was followed by a Walk.
