The Foundation for Youth,Peace and Development(FYPD) wish to call on the youth of Ghana and Africa,to heed to persistent advice by well meaning leaders of the continent to seek economic fortune and other forms of glory, by staying home and working hard to contribute their quota toward the development of the nation and the African continent at large.

Soo many calls have been made in this regard, but the Foundation wish to urge the youth to reflect soberly on the advice of the Great and progressive King of the Asante Kingdom,Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at a durbar to climax the 15th anniversary of his reign during which,he advised the youth to emulate the Chinese example by resisting the temptation to flee home in hordes to seek greener pastures in the land of other people, and rather pull themselves together and forge ahead.

We believe that is how many other countries including; Japan and several Western nations were able to build the glorious nations that the African youth so much desire to identify with sometimes, to the point of disowning the land of their birth.
As we celebrate the African Union, the FYPD wish to urge the youth of Africa and for that matter Ghana, to take inspiration from the assuring words of Otumfuo which also admonish them not to run away from the country because, ?here is where the glory is, and we can make it if we try?.
The youth must show courage, by staying home and confronting the challenges that make Africa soo unattractive to them. That is the only way that we can guarantee dignifying and glorious life for ourselves in our homeland,Africa and bring to a perpetual end, this phenomenon of ?Voluntary slavery?
