The Ukrainian who was the clear favourite to win the bout was frustrated before and during the fight by Tyson Fury’s camp.

Secondly, there was an issue with gloves and glove-wrapping. Wladimir’s brother, Vitali Klitschko oversaw Fury’s glove-wrapping, but the Ukrainian wrapped his without the presence of someone from Fury’s camp. Tyson Fury raised an eyebrow and it was only resolved when Klitschko agreed to re-wrap.
After an entertaining contest, which saw Klitschko bleeding down the eye, the judges score sheet read; 115-112, 115 – 112, and 116-111 in favour of the Briton showman.
“It’s something I’ve been working out for my whole life. I’m bred to be a fighter,” Fury said.
Klitschko’s camp quickly had to remind the new king of a rematch clause. “We have a rematch clause in the contract,” Bernd Boente, Klitschko’s promoter said.
Confident looking Tyson Fury accepted the challenge in good faith. “I’m a fighter so I will take on all challenges. I came here tonight, took the world title. Whatever happens next is a blessing. The interest in the fight will be huge,” he reckoned.
