The clean-up was to help preserve the environment, empower life, and provide aid to the aged and orphans in society.
The exercise supported by Zoomlion, a sanitation management organisation, Ablekuma South Sub Metro and leaders of the constituency brought together a number of residents together to distil choked gutters and cleared refuse.
Mr Prosper Dan Afetshie, President FOGET in an interview with Ghana News Agency said the organisation had sensitised residents of Opetekwei, Gbebu and Shiabu electoral areas on cleanliness and its health benefits.
He said the education drive is one of the core objectives of FOGET.
Mrs Diana Twum, National Democratic Congress‘s Parliamentary Candidate for the area commended FOGET for the project and urged all to emulate the example of the organisation and help keep the environment and community clean.
