Before the Akufo-Addo administration assumed office, previous governments initiated several road infrastructure projects in the Ashaiman constituency. Such roads include the main traffic light through to Katamanso, the new town junction to Afariwa, the Ropongi junction to Ashma junction, and from Keta house to Kaketo.

Others are the Main station to Asenso Roundabout, Nightmarket to Okanta Hospital, Presby junction through Jericho to Puma filling station junction on main Lebanon to Zenu road,
Mata Mallam junction on the Methodist side to the Nightmarket junction road and Asenso junction to the Jericho junction road.

The rest are Community-22 junction at the Tilapia outlet through the Washing Bay to Kowa Naso junction, and Pink Lady junction to Mr. Ernest Agbesi’s Junction.

Unfortunately, the current New Patriotic Party government has failed to continue with the construction and rehabilitation works, leaving many roads in disrepair.

The potholes, cracks, dust, and vehicular chaos on the roads have created hazardous conditions, adversely affecting the communities. Pregnant women face complications due to poor road conditions.

Our community deserves better roads and well-maintained and supportive economic activities.

The previous NDC government initiated the Nederland wash facility project, which included installing Biofil Household Toilets across the municipality with a 50% subsidy for construction.

The Tulalu drain project and the desilting of the Gemi River were meant to improve drainage and prevent flooding during the rainy season.

Our community battles poor sanitation, overflowing garbage, choked drains, and unpleasant odors.

This poses a severe threat to public health and environmental safety. The lucrative public toilet management contracts in Ashaiman have been awarded to NPP sympathizers for almost 27 to 30 years. The facilities include the Tebibi Annor, Obakatsey, and Tettey Nkpa toilets.

The NPP claimed it built several astroturf parks, but its executives in Ashaiman have sold lands designated for such projects. Reserved lands around the E-Block at Community 22 have been allocated to prominent party activists. The member of parliament for the Ashaiman constituency Hon. Ernest Henry Norgbey has raised concerns over the neglect and the current state of the roads, blaming the government for failing to do something about it.
The MP filed multiple questions to parliament for then road minister, Hon Amoako Atta, to answer but all his efforts to get Ashaiman roads fixed proved futile.

When the year of roads was announced on the floor of parliament, Ashaiman was excluded. Even the party faithful were disappointed.

In August 2022 some NPP constituency executives petitioned President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo to give reasons for sidelining Ashaiman. Our MP singlehandedly reshaped the roads and filled dangerous potholes periodically. The Ashaiman community appreciates his support.

We are calling on the government to repair and maintain the road networks in Ashaiman, to ensure safe transportation.

The government must ensure waste management systems include regular garbage collection and disposal.

The Akufo-Addo government must complete the abandoned project, including the Ashaiman main road and the E-BLOCK.

We need transparency regarding the metro mass station sold to a private developer.

Ghana needs an honest, truthful, and reliable leader who can rescue the country from the evil ones and reset it. The time has come for the visionary leader, His Excellency, John Dramani Mahama to rescue Ghana.

We need a change!

A change that will better the lives of our children.

A change that will create employment opportunities for the youth.

A change to empower and financially strengthen Ghanaian women through the Women Development Bank initiative and the 24-hour Economy initiative.

We must unite and demand better governance from the leaders of the country.
