Reports reaching Adomonline.com say a huge fire is raging in the Mallam market close to the Sakaman junction in Accra.
Eye witnesses say the fire started from the point where butchers roast the hide of livestock and is presently heading towards the section where vegetables and other foodstuff are sold, having earlier gone through the section where clothes are sold.
Officials of the Ghana National Fire Service had still not responded to distress calls at the time of filing this report.
