AESL, the Building consultants for the Reconstruction of the Appiatse community has on Thursday, 16th June, 2022 met with Appiatse Reconstruction Implementation Team (ARIT) to submit and make final presentations on the pre-contract documentations.
Taking turns to present to the team, the structural designs team, Water and Electricity, Pipe and Plumbing and roads teams contributed their final thoughts towards the reconstruction, as well as team members of the ARIT.
Pertinent among the issues discussed at the meeting was insisting on building a Green, Eco-friendly community and also the combination of solar and Hydro-Electricity for the lighting systems of the community.
Mr. Blankson Hermans, a representative from the Ghana Institute of Architects and a member of the ARIT team briefed participants on the team’s engagement with the community members on their last trip to Appiatse, saying that “we have committed to beginning actual works on 15th July, 2022 and we cannot go back on our words so all sub teams must speed up efforts to meet the deadline.”
The meeting agreed to train community members to help contractors in the construction works, engaging them particularly in the laying, moulding and Mining of laterite for the works.
Having reviewed the documentations presented, members of the ARIT by the close of the meeting agreed to present the final documentations to the Appiatse Community for review and approval.
This meeting was to receive the hard copy of the pre-contract documentations, review and ensure that the building consultants have met the requirements of the ARIT team.
