Paul Hamilton, a former Super Falcons Head Coach has said that the team will improve in their performance in the second leg of their two-legged friendly against Japan.

Falcons lost the first leg of the friendly 2-0 in Nagasaki on Sunday.

The former coach advised the team to seize the opportunity of the engagement to work on their weak points.

Hamilton urged the interim coach, Edwin Okon, to shun all sorts of distractions and focus on building a better team.

“Coach Okon has a lot to do; this friendly will give him an idea of what to do and what not to do, to come out better.

“For the second leg, I sincerely believe they will step up their game. They should know why they lost, and I?m sure they won?t repeat the same mistakes again.

“ I learnt that the fixtures have been made for CAF qualifiers, but the tour will give the coach an idea of what to expect,?? Hamilton said.

He also stressed that the players should take the matches in their stride and not regard it as a do-or-die affair.

“Friendly matches are for exposure; they are not a must win, They help to build the team?s confidence and keep them in form,?? the former coach added.

The second leg of the friendly is billed for September 26 in Japan.
This would be the first competitive encounter for the Falcons since they finished in the fourth place in the 2012 African Women Championship (AWC) which was held in Equatorial Guinea.
