Get set for a blockbuster year of events in 2013 as The Football Association celebrates its 150th birthday.
The world’s oldest FA will celebrate its landmark anniversary on 26 October.
But celebrations will officially kick-off on Wednesday 16 January with a special event at the Grand Connaught Rooms.
That is the site — then known as the Freemasons’ Tavern — that The FA was founded on back in 1863.
Today’s event will feature some of the greatest names in English football history coming together to pay tribute to the beautiful game.
This coming year will see The FA bring its unique history to life, telling the story of the founding fathers who paved the way in the organisation’s formative years.
