Two school children died on the spot while several others sustained various degrees of injury on Saturday, March 7 when the bus in which they were travelling veered off into a ditch in Amedzofe in the Hohoe Municipal Assembly of the Volta Region.
It is unclear what might have caused the accident.
TV3 gathers five of the injured later died at the hospital.
The school ? given only as Helyn Preparatory School from Kasoa in the Central Region ? was said to be travelling to the Wli Water Falls in the Volta Region for an excursion.
