Elmina Sharks qualified to the next stage of the MTN FA cup competition, when they beat their Regional rivals Ebusua Dwarfs 3-0 on penalties in their FA cup round of 64 match played at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday.

Dwarfs started strongly and opened the scoring through a spot kick taken by Christopher Bonney in the fifth minute.
In the 58th minute, tragedy hit Elmina Sharks, when their play maker, Richard Atika was red carded for persistent rough play.
Dwarfs, however failed to take advantage of their numerical strength as all their chances could not produce anything fruitful.
In spite of the setback, Elmina Sharks matched their opponent boot for boot until the injury time when they equalised with a spot kick taken by Tetteh Nortey to make it 1-1 at full time.
In the penalty shot outs, Elmina Sharks scored three of their four penalties whiles Dwarfs missed all their three spot kicks.
This is the second consecutive time Elmina Sharks have shown their regional rivals the exit from the FA cup competition.
Last year, Elmina Sharks forced Dwarfs out of the same competition on penalties at the Robert Mensah Sport Stadium.
