Effective tips to improve your Opera browser security

operaOpera browser is one of the most used browsers with more than 270 million users worldwide. Moreover, it is also one of the most secured web browsers with excellent security features. Apart from it, Opera is one such browser which is supported by almost all operating systems (OS). Opera can be easily used with OSes and computers including Microsoft Windows, Mac, Linux, Solaris and some other mobile devices.

3. All Opera browsers feature a secure Password Manager which allows the user to store all passwords safely. This feature is also found with Mozilla Firefox browser. This is very helpful in making your browser secure as you can easily use different passwords for each of the accounts. You can also store various login details, usernames and e-mail addresses. The information which you put in over there is safe because this is an encrypted feature. It doesn?t let the security of the Opera to be compromised.

The password manager feature in Opera remains On by default. It works automatically when you login to your account on a particular website. While you login, it prompts you to whether you want to save the password used or not. You can click either on ?Save? or ?Never? button as per your choice. If in future you want to delete the passwords which you had saved, you need to click on the ?Settings? tab. Now navigate? to Preferences >> Forms >> Password Manager. Using the password manager you can delete all the saved passwords. Now uncheck the box appearing next to the button ?Enable Password Manager?. Finally save the changes and close the ?Settings? window.

4. The Fraud and Malware Protection feature is another in-built feature offered with your Opera browser. It remains On with the browser by default. This feature is about malware and phishing filters which are created to ensure that every e-mail or web page reaches the browser after going through these filters. These filters are meant to provide the best of its kind protection from viruses, spyware, malware, Trojans etc. Because of this feature, you are guided by a color-coded mechanism while you visit a web page. If you see a green padlock on a web page you should understand that it highly secured. The yellow padlock is an indication that the website carries the average security and can be browsed without any issue.
