New Edubiase yesterday stopped relegated Wassaman United in their MTN FA Cup semi-final to set a date with Ashgold at the Accra Stadium this Sunday.
Wassaman who picked the semi-final ticket at the expense of Tema Youth last week appeared on course for their FA Cup final dream until they caved in.
The Tarkwah-based side did little to capitalize on their numerical advantage- 11 against 10- and allowed Bernard Ofori to score the only goal of the game two minutes to the end.
President of Edubiase Abdul Salam Yakubu admitted how tough the game was, stating: ?It was really a difficult game, but we prevailed. We are not going to be complacent, we will correct our mistakes as we prepare for the final on Sunday.?
Disciplinary cases blighted the competition which saw last year?s winners Nania FC and runners-up falling by the way at the early stages.
