ECOWAS Opens 36 Positions Across Five Institutions, Deadline April 30

The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Commission has issued a vacancy notice dated 1 April 2026, inviting applications for 36 positions spread across five of its institutions, with a submission deadline of Thursday, 30 April 2026 at midnight.

The openings span the ECOWAS Commission, the Inter-Governmental Action Group Against Money Laundering in West Africa (GIABA), the ECOWAS Parliament, the Community Court of Justice (CCJ), and the ECOWAS Gender Development Centre (EGDC). Positions are based across Abuja in Nigeria, Dakar in Senegal, Conakry in Guinea, and Monrovia in Liberia.

The most senior roles on offer are two Director-level posts at grade D1: a Director of Humanitarian and Social Affairs at the Commission in Abuja, and a Director of Administration and Finance at GIABA in Dakar. Several Principal Officer and Professional grade P5 positions are also available, including roles in law enforcement, legal affairs, communication and advocacy, regional security, small arms, multilateral surveillance, and sport policy and programme development.

At the CCJ, the Commission is recruiting at the P5 level for a Registrar for Judicial Certification, a Registrar for Appeal, Arbitration and Enforcement, a Library and Documentation officer, and a Registrar for Verbatim Reports, all based in Abuja.

Mid-level professional openings at grades P3 and P4 include legal drafting, litigation, accountancy, political advisory, and administration and finance roles, mostly at the Commission headquarters in Abuja. Entry-level and general services positions ranging from Office Manager and Nurse to Conference Technician, Protocol Assistant, and Office Aide are also available.
