The Akatsi-North District Security Committee (DISEC) has summoned the District Manager of Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) to brief it on the load shedding arrangements in place before, during and after Christmas and the end of year
Mr James Gunu, District Chief Executive (DCE) and DISEC Chairman, dropped the hint in an interview with the GNA.
He said the Security Committee?s directive was based on the fact that the unstable power situation had both economic and security implications.
?Therefore coming out with the schedules for the area would help in strategic, security and economic planning,? Mr Gunu stated.
He said DISEC was aware that challenges in electricity supply were short term but thought the briefing was necessary to help provide comprehensive planning including strategic planning for the area, as Christmas approached.
