Mauritians to ref the Malawi match
FIFA has named a Sudanese, Khalid Abdel Rahman, as the referee for the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying match between Nigeria and Namibia.
The Super Eagles and the Brave Warriors of Namibia will meet in the World Cup qualifying match scheduled for the UJ Esuene Stadium, Calabar on June 3 said a statement signed by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Head of Media, Ademola Olajire.
The Sudanese will be assisted by compatriots, Waleed Ali as the 1st Assistant, Mohammed Hamid as 2nd Assistant and Badr El Din Abdel Gadir as the 4th Official.
The Match Commissioner is Jammeh Bojang from The Gambia, while the Referee Assessor is Badara Sene from Senegal.
Mauritians for Malawi
Meanwhile, FIFA also named Mauritian officials for the Malawi/Nigeria World Cup tie.
Mauritian Referee, Rajindraparsad Seechurn will be at the centre when the Eagles confront the Flames of Malawi in the 2014 FIFA World Cup African series, in Blantyre on June 9.
Rajindraparsad will be assisted by compatriots Balkrishna Bootun as 1st Assistant, Akhtar Rossaye as 2nd Assistant and Ganesh Chutooree as the 4th Official.
The Match Commissioner is Adam Mthethwa from Swaziland while the Referee Assessor is Bernard Mfubusa from Burundi.
The match will be played at the Kamuzu Banda Stadium in Blantyre, starting from 2.30 pm local time (1.30pm Nigeria time).
