Drivers have been advised to follow road safety measures in order to prevent and reduce the increasing cases of road accidents in the country.
The advice was given by the Director of Frimpse Rest Stop at Winneba Junction in the Central Region, Mr. John Kwesi Quaye gave when he organized Appreciation Day for drivers who patronize the services of his outfit.
He said most accidents that occur are preventable, but due to careless nature of some of the drivers people turn to lose their lives.
He further noted that other road users such as pedestrians have every right on the road and therefore advised drivers to respect these rights.
He explained that drivers play an important and vital role in the economic development of the country and therefore urged them to respect their profession.
He later presented 7 TV sets, 5 irons, 14 mobile phones, 40 bags of rice and cooking oil as well as gallons of petroleum products all valuing over GH 5000.00 Cedis to some deserving customers.
