Dormaa workers donate to Childrens? Ward

Public and civil servants working in and around the Dormaa Municipal Assembly Office Building area, have presented assorted items valued at GH C 2,000 to the Children?s Ward of the Dormaa Presbyterian Hospital.Mr. Gordon Asubonteng Municipal Chief Executive, presenting the items,

The items included two cartons of milk, box of apples, soft drinks, three boxes of voltic mineral water, a bag of detergent, three packets of toilet rolls, box of maggie cubes, hand-washing liquid detergents, four boxes of key soap, and one box of geisha soap.

Presenting the items, Mr. Gordon Asubonteng, the Municipal Chief Executive, who is the architect behind the donation, said the items were purchased from the kind contributions and offerings of the workers who attend the assembly?s morning devotion programme, to assist the Ward.

He noted that the development of the nation relied on children, as a result there was the urgent need to support them substantially, apart from providing medical treatment.

The MCE expressed the hope that others would emulate the example of the workers.

Dr Adoma Dwomo-Fokuo, the Medical Officer In charge at the Ward, on behalf of management, expressed appreciation for the gesture, and said it will go a long way to improve the conditions of sick children.
