The Donkor brothers who died in the Tema microlight aircraft crash will be laid to rest on Friday, March 28, 2026, at the forecourt of the State House in Accra, their family has confirmed.

Albert Dwumfour, President of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), made the announcement on behalf of the bereaved family during a condolence visit by the Minority Caucus and leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The deceased are sons of the founder of the Hebron Prayer Camp and were among the two persons on board the ill-fated aircraft, registration number 9G-ADV, which crashed at Tema Community 1 on March 16 while flying from Ho to Accra, killing both occupants.

Dwumfour also shared the account that the deceased had spoken to their father moments before the crash, indicating they were just minutes away from landing.

Captain Frank Amoanyi Donkor, 36, was a seasoned flight instructor with 15 years of aviation experience. His younger brother, Elijah Ofori Donkor, was 25. Captain Donkor had married only three months before his death, in December 2025.

Parliament observed a minute of silence in the brothers’ memory. Lawmakers from both sides of the House called on private aircraft owners to adhere strictly to maintenance schedules and aviation safety protocols, and urged relevant authorities to conduct a full, time-bound investigation into the crash.

The Aircraft Accident and Incident Investigation and Prevention Bureau (AIB) has confirmed it is actively investigating the incident.
