Fulham Confirm Signing Boateng On One-year Deal
English Premier League side Fulham have announced the free transfer signing of Ghana international Derek Boateng.
The club handed the experienced midfielder a one-year deal with an option for a further year after receiving his International Transfer Certificate.
The 30-year-old midfielder previously played for Ukrainian side FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk where he made only 23 appearances in two seasons partly because of a fall out with Juande Ramos.
Boateng started his professional career at Kalamata FC in Greece in 1999 before moving to Panathinaikos in 2001.
He went to play for Swedish side AIK Stockholm and then Beitar Jerusalem in Israel.
Boateng then signed for German Bundesliga side FC Cologne before signing for Spanish top-flight side Getafe.
