Dealing With China and Getting Cheated

In recent times, cases of fraud and cheating by the gangs of Chinese scammers, who are located in almost each of the cities and provinces in this country has become alarmingly rampant, while the authorities in Beijing are totally reluctant I taking any action against their citizen, who are not only causing huge financial losses to the international community, but also earning the bad name for China being a scammer nation. Economic analysts believe the frequency of fraud and cheating by the Chinese scammers are already crossing all past records, including those of the Nigerian,?Cameroon?and other African rackets. ThoughChina?proclaims to have a very strict law for dealing with the domestic gangs of scammers as well as other types of cyber criminals, there is visibly no sign of applying such laws on the scammers, frauds and cheaters for reason unknown.

For years, the Chinese traders and exporters are following the ridiculous practice of asking the buyers of any products for placing 30-50 percent of the total cost in advance through TT, Money Gram, Western Union etc, while most of them decline accepting letters of credit by showing numerous excuses. Most of the buyers of Chinese products are rather forced to place such advance payment simply considering the price advantages. Most importantly, almost ninety percent of these Chinese scammers, cheaters and frauds are legally legitimate companies having licenses issued by the Chinese government with bank accounts with various banks in?China. According to information, only during May-June 2012, more than five thousand complaints of such scam, cheating and fraud by the Chinese companies were filled by various international buyers, and in most cases, there had never been any action taken against the scammers, cheaters and frauds in?China.

On investigation on the web and various tools, names of the following Chinese scammers, frauds and cheaters are already traced initially though the real number is several hundred times higher:

Commenting on the remedies for the cheated foreign buyers, leading Chinese lawyers said, it is not easy for the cheated foreigners in getting justice in?China?unless they hire a lawyer and spend money and energy to get the scammers punished. It said, ?By complaining with the Chinese Embassy of the authorities concerned, the scammed foreigners actually get nothing!?

He said, ?Even Alibaba protects the scammers and allows them to continue in that site with their nefarious activities of scamming innocent people. Alibaba is actually a platform of the scammers, cheaters and frauds.?

While the cases of scams and frauds by the Chinese companies are growing fast, only in June, at least fifty cases of such fraud by the ?Thirty Percent Fraud? racket took place in various parts of China, including Shenzhen, Fujianand Xingtai (in Hebei Province). In one of the many cases, a Chinese company named Pengfei (or Peng Fei) Electronic Technology Company Limited, 6F?Building 201 Shenkeng Industrial Park, Henggang, Longgang District, Shenzhen, China sold Chinese tablet PCs to a customer against the payment of US$ 2,850. The company though promised to ship the consignment within 3 days of receiving the payment, after almost one week of receiving the full payment into its Chinese bank account, Pengfei (or Peng Fei) Electronic Technology Company Limited provided a fake tracking number of DHL only on July 21, stating the goods were already shipped (DHL Tracking Number: 6900656770). After the buyer discovered the tracking number to be fake the Chinese company quickly made up another story stating it had problems in shipping the Tablet PCs through DHL and provided another false tracking number (RA506193081CN) to the customer, asking them to track the shipment on?http://intmail.183.com.cn/. When the second tracking number was also found to be false, the Chinese company?s?Sales Manager? Celina turned off her mobile number??+86-137-984-15150?and stopped communicating with the buyer. Seeing no other alternatives, the buyer reported the matter with the Chinese authorities, and till filling of this report, no action had been initiated against the fraud racket by the authorities.

In another incident, a Chinese company named Xingtai Hengsiman Trading Co., Ltd, Room 402, Unit 2, 4/F, Building 21, A Area, Fushi Road, Qiaoxi District, Xingtai City, China, Phone:??+86-319-2581455, Fax: 86-319-2581400, Web:?http://www.hsmgs.com/, signed an agreement with a buyer for supplying 15 tons of edible oil. Accordingly the Chinese company received US$ 8,000 as advance payment and was supposed to receive the remaining amount immediately before the shipment. The payment of US$ 8,000 was made on June 3, 2012. But right after receiving the advance payment, the Chinese company Xingtai Hengsiman Trading Co., Ltd?s ?Manager? Frank Gao informed the buyer that it has problems in arranging Shangjian Certificate (Quality, Quantity approval of Ministry of Commerce of the People?s Republic of?China). It may also be added here that,?alibaba.com?has enrolled a large number of similar fraudulent companies as their ?Gold Suppliers? without carefully verifying the business integrity of the companies concerned, simply because, Alibaba mainly focuses in receiving the membership fees from the companies irrespective of its good or bad reputation.

Chinese scammers have already put black shade on the entire Chinese trading and export community, as because they are cheating international buyers. If this trend will not be combated by the Chinese authorities soonest, it will ultimately affect the Chinese economy and certainly it does not stand in favor of?China?s claim to be a disciplined nation.
