U.K Prime Minister, David Cameron on Thursday said although ordinary people around the world might not be in a position to appreciate the efforts being made by the Nigerian Government to restore peace in troubled parts of the country, he was aware of their sacrifices.
The Prime minister made this statement in a session with the MPs at the House, insisted that the Nigerian authorities were trying their best and investing in counter-terrorism to end the scourge of terrorism in the north eastern part of the country.
He further stated that the government is training the Army and were trying to tackle Boko Haram. Mr Cameron was responding during Prime Minister’s Questions to Labour MP Tom Clarke, who, referring to the general situation in the north of Nigeria, said the Abuja government had “not lifted a finger to protect its own citizens”.
The Prime Minister has also offered to send a spy plane (RAF Sentinel R1) to Nigeria to help search for more than 200 girls held by extremists.
