The artistes all have forthcoming albums

An exciting week it has been on the Nigerian music scene, with Don Jazzy’s new record label dropping the first album and other established acts also releasing new singles.
Multi award-winning singer/songwriter, Dare Art Alade, popularly known as Darey, has released ‘Asiko’, the first single from his forthcoming fifth album.
Asiko is diverse in style, exciting in vocal delivery and generally super confident in theme. Darey themed up with South African group, Jozi, and rapper Ice Prince, to create a blend of pop, indigenous sounds and rap music.
The single was co-produced by Chocolate City’s Jesse Jagz and the Soul Muzik team.
Darey defined Asiko as being “way ahead of my time; it is something fresh and futuristic.”
He went further, “I am never scared of stretching my imagination. Africa is the future, and the world will know that through our music.
“The new album is a product of an unquenchable desire to make good music even better; and make happy fans even happier.”
He also said working with Jesse Jagz, Jozi and Ice Prince was really nice, “I love the fact that we come from different music backgrounds. They have this flavour that’s good for the kind of music we wanted to make, and they loved the idea, the music. It was fun all the way”.
One year after his double album ‘Double Dare’, Darey took a time out to host TV shows, and set up his label Soul Muzik.
Darey is, however, not the only Nigerian artiste to release a single this week.
Davido of the Ema Dami Duro fame also dropped a new track. ‘Overseas’ is a new single from Davido featuring label mate, SinaRambo.
The video was shot in Miami and will be dropped in a few weeks. The song was produced by Davido, and co-produced by Shizzi.
Brymo was also not left out, as he dropped ‘Good Morning’, the second single off his forthcoming ‘SonOfaCarpenter’ album. The song was produced by Jesse Jagz.
