The Yendi Catholic Peace Centre, has organised a day?s consultative meeting on reconciliation involving the kingmakers of the two Royal Families of Dagbon, in Yendi, to seek lasting peace for the area.

The kingmakers included Kuga Naa Abdulai Adam II, Tugri-Nam, Iddrisu Fusheini, Gumli Issahaku Amadu and 13 other elders from the Abudu and Andani Gates.
The Most Reverend Vincent Sowah Boi-Nai, Bishop of Yendi Diocese said peace building is very important and emphasised the need for all to work towards it to facilitate development.
Bishop Boi-Nai who is also the Patron of the Yendi Catholic Peace Centre called on the kingmakers to remain neutral during enskinments so facilitate reconciliation.
Kuga Na Adam lauded the efforts of the Centre in uniting both families saying: ?Since 2002 the Abudu and Andani Families came together through the efforts of the peace builders despite various threats from both sides.?
Mr Peter Atia, Secretary of the Centre urged kingmakers at Dagbon to do everything possible to reconcile the royal families.
Tugri Nam Iddrisu Fuseini expressed gratitude to Bishop Boi-Nai and the Centre for organising the meeting.
