The 2012 Presidential Candidate of the Convention People?s Party Dr Abu Sakara has stated that CPP presents the only credible platform in this year?s election.
We in the Convention people?s party today are living in absolute conviction that the CPP presents the only credible platform that will leave our past acrimony and antagonisms behind as Ghanaians and chart a new way forward where we can bring the best from across the political divide to provide Ghana a new way forward and a new future for prosperity for each and every person.
This is the path of the Convention People?s Party and this is the Choice you must make in this year?s election. ?The Choice of prosperity for a few at the expense of the many or prosperity for all of us?, this is the only Choice in this election. So as you go to vote, I want you to remember the red cockerel because that red cockerel is the clarion call for you to once again to assert your claim to your citizenship and to your Country because Ghana is not going to be defined by just a boundary around our land, it is going to be defined by who we are.
He stated ?We hold an enduring believe that the dignity of this Country will not be measured by the latest Jet that is bought for the President, or by the length of the motorcade that accompany the President, or by the state of the art furnishing of the President House. It can only be measured by the dignity that we accord the least amongst us. That is the measure of our dignity. In fact when we recognize that, then we recognize our own humanity. This is why for us at the heart of our Party is our human centered ideology, Nkrumaism?.
Dr Abu Sakara indicated the CPP will continue to exist and progress as long as there is one Ghanaian who believes in the principles of liberty and envision of what he or she can become. The CPP will continue to live.
According to him the CPP offers Ghana today an opportunity for a new beginning and urged electorates to vote the CPP into office in this year?s election.
