The facility has a conference room that could accommodate 40 people, an e-library, a well-furnished kitchen and an Internet Café with 40 computers.

It was funded by the Ministry of Communication and formed one of the latest strings of projects in a conscious effort to meet the social and developmental needs of the people in the area.

Mr G.A.T. Matey-Teye, the District Chief Executive in an inaugural remarks said the use of information and for that matter computers for connectivity and interaction across the globe have become the order of the day in everyday life and the absence of them could retard progress.

He said the centre was timely and urged the youth, especially students and community members to take full advantage to do business and to enhance their personal development.

“This is an obvious testimony of the transformational agenda and life-changing intervention of the government of the National Democratic Congress (NDC),” Matey-Teye said.

Mr Christian Otuteye, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ada West urged the people to take charge of the project and own it and be vigilant caretakers for their own benefit.

He said under his leadership and the government he has been able to distribute desktop and laptops to 25 junior high schools in the area to expand Information Communication Technology (ICT) education.

Mr Otuteye called on the constituents to continue to support the government because more of such development project would be coming to them to better their lives.

In another development, the MP distributed a number of sewing machines to some community members who are into sowing.
