Colonel Mbawine Atintande, Director in charge of the Public Affairs Unit of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), is set to release a book onto the market for journalists.
He believes the media must collectively serve as a tool to ensure national development.
The 203-page book titled, ?The Roadmap: Media in Society? would be launched on Thursday at Coconut Groove Regency Hotel at North Ridge, Accra.
In an interview with DAILY GUIDE, Colonel Mbawine revealed that journalism is a double edge weapon that must be used to facilitate the progress of the individual, community and the nation at large, and not just offer livelihood for practitioners.
The book highlights Ghana?s media landscape, relevance of media in society, public interest, professionalization of media institutions in the country, among others.
Several individuals have been invited for the launch.
