Berekum Chelsea coach Hans Vander Pluim says the 3-0 win over Medeama on Sunday was the perfect response to their humiliating defeat to Hearts of Oak the week before.
The Blues regained their lead of the Ghana Premier League with the emphatic win over their fellow title chasers at the Berekum City Park.
Chelsea?s title ambitions took a massive hit with a 3-0 defeat suffered at the hands of a resurgent Hearts of Oak side a fortnight ago.
They however made it right with a heavy win of their own while interim leaders; Asante Kotoko dropped points with a 1-1 draw with Aduana Stars.
Chelsea?s technical director Hans Vander Pluim in hailing his team?s response, hopes they maintain this level until the end of the season which will see the emerge champions again.
?It was a great response from the team following the defeat to Hearts of Oak last week,? he said.
?The players were more determined today and the fought and won almost all the loose balls.
?I am happy at the win and hopefully from now we can build on this and win every single game.?
Chelsea will resume their Premier League campaign with a tough away trip to city rivals; Berekum Arsenals on June 9.
They will then take on Aduana Stars before finishing off at Hearts of Lions.
