ZAMBIA goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene says with the right attitude, the Chipolopolo can beat Ghana in Kumasi and progress to the last round of the 2014 Brazil World Cup qualifying race.
Mweene said in an interview from South Africa yesterday that Ghana are beatable whether in Kumasi or Ndola.
He said the Chipolopolo will travel to Kumasi with one aim ? to win.
Mweene said all the Chipolopolo players know what is at stake and will put in their best to stun the Black Stars at Baba Yara Stadium on September 8.
?We are professionals and we know what is at stake. We will attack so that we win while Ghana can avoid to draw and qualify to the last round. We can go and beat them that side. It is possible and not impossible,? he said.
The 28-year-old warned Ghana to underrate the Chipolopolo at their own peril.
?It is not yet over for us. The difference between Ghana and Zambia is only a point. There is everything to play for in Kumasi. We want to go and make confusion in Ghana. They [Black Stars] will see a different Zambia,? he said.
Mweene, however, admitted that the match will be tough.
He also said the 1-1 with Sudan last Saturday was frustrating.
He said the players put in 110 percent but were unfortunate that goals eluded them.
Mweene said they have put behind the match against Sudan and are now focusing on the clash against Ghana.
He called on Zambians to be positive and rally behind Herve Renard?s team.
Zambia have 11 points, one behind Ghana. Sudan and Lesotho, who will clash in Khartoum in the other Group D encounter, have two points each.
Ten group winners will qualify for the last round and a draw will be held on September 12 in Cairo and the five winners will represent Africa at the World Cup finals.
