Chalom Hights, a Ghanaian women’s empowerment organisation, has concluded its ElevateHer Mass Mentorship Programme in the Ejisu Municipality, reaching Junior High School (JHS) and Senior High School (SHS) students in a two-phase initiative combining digital awareness with practical vocational skills.
The programme was delivered in partnership with the Girl Child Education Unit of the Ejisu Municipality under the Ministry of Education, marking the organisation’s first major community outreach beyond Accra since its launch in April 2025.
The first phase introduced students to emerging technology concepts, including the Internet of Things (IoT), and guided participants on how to leverage digital tools in their academic and personal development. Students were also coached on focus, discipline, and intentionality as they navigate critical stages of their education.
The second phase shifted to hands-on vocational training, where participants learned beads and fascinators making, with the goal of nurturing entrepreneurial thinking, creativity, and economic self-reliance from an early age.
A dedicated session was also held for female teachers within the municipality under the theme “Give to Gain,” creating space for educators to reflect on their role as mentors and to invest more deliberately in the next generation of young women.
Abigail Boakye, a teacher in the Ejisu Municipality and the 2025 Best Differentiated Learning Teacher, contributed to the programme by sharing professional insights on adaptive learning and the importance of embracing individual strengths within the educational journey.
Rita Adu Boateng, Founder of Chalom Hights, said the organisation believes that empowering young girls goes beyond inspiration, and that it requires equipping them with the right knowledge, mindset, and practical skills. She said ElevateHer is intentionally shaping a generation of young women who are confident, focused, and prepared to take on leadership roles.
Speaking to the teachers’ session, she said that the influence educators carry extends far beyond the classroom, and that the impact created in others returns in the form of stronger communities and a more empowered generation.
Rita Korley, Programmes Director of Chalom Hights, described the programme as designed to bridge the gap between knowledge and application. She said that by combining digital awareness with hands-on skills training, the organisation is ensuring that young girls are not only informed but empowered to take actionable steps toward sustainable futures.
Chalom Hights was founded by Rita Adu Boateng and launched in April 2025 with a focus on mentorship, coaching, career counselling, and financial education for young women across Ghana. The ElevateHer programme forms part of the organisation’s broader strategy to expand its reach into communities and deepen grassroots impact on female empowerment and education.
