Women empowerment organisation Chalom Hights has held a targeted edition of its ElevateHer Mentorship Programme in Ashiaman Gbitsele, focusing specifically on female students preparing to sit the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
The session brought together mentors, facilitators, teachers and community representatives to equip the young girls with academic guidance, emotional resilience and the self-belief needed to navigate a critical turning point in their education. Discussions covered managing examination pressure, overcoming fear, building confidence and understanding how education shapes long-term opportunity.
Founder Rita Adu Boateng, who addressed participants during the event, said the organisation is committed to ensuring that no girl’s background defines her ceiling. “We want every girl to know her background does not limit her potential,” she said.
The Ashiaman Gbitsele edition reflects an intentional push by Chalom Hights to reach girls in peri-urban communities ahead of major national examinations. Teachers and community representatives present commended the initiative for addressing students’ emotional needs alongside their academic preparation, noting that both dimensions matter as girls approach the BECE.
Chalom Hights was founded by Rita Adu Boateng and launched in April 2025, with a focus on mentorship, coaching, career counselling and financial education for young women across Ghana. The ElevateHer programme has since expanded its footprint, having earlier reached Junior High School and Senior High School students in the Ejisu Municipality in partnership with the Girl Child Education Unit under the Ministry of Education.
The organisation says it remains committed to broadening the programme’s reach and creating structured opportunities for more girls across Ghana to grow with confidence, purpose and academic grounding.
