The official opening of the Celebrity “Spoons” match play slated for February 4 to March 17, has been held at the Sakumono Celebrity Golf Club, with a call on golfers to put in their best in order to win trophies.
Mr. Mike Ikpoki, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MTN who made the call, described 2012 as an exciting year on the Golf Calendar.
He was optimistic that the tournament will help cement or strengthen the existing cordial relations between MTN and Celebrity Golf Club.
The competition will pair the over 60 golfers in a qualifier, at the end of which the final four players will compete for the first position.
A team will be raised during the competition to participate in the National Tournament dubbed “Ghana Open,” a flagship event to be staged later in the year. GNA
